In celebration of Movember I have created some quick ‘staches for all you ladies who can’t grow your own. Download the pdf file below and create your own ‘stache! Maybe even give it some bling (glitter or crystals?) for a night out on the town! And don’t forget to donate to www.movember.com to support prostate cancer initiatives.

I’m in love with owls these days…
I am attempting to make an owl costume for this year’s parties and trick-or-treating, so it seems to fit to make some cute treat bags to hand our to the neighborhood families. These are super quick to make! All you need to do is download the pdf template below, and print the design on a brown lunch bag! They can definitely be used for more than Halloween too… how about to giving one to a favorite teacher, co-worker or paper boy? Since they have a retro look to them, I filled mine with cheesy popcorn, but any kind of treats (or tricks) will work.

Since I have a almost 9 year old (and NOT a fussy, girly type) daughter.. I thought I would create an Easter DIY that she would love…
For the last few months I have been sewing (not that I can sew well) little monster-type stuffies for my kids. To make them I simply take old blankets, or inexpensive fleece fabric and draw out a ‘pattern’ freehand on the fabric… I then cut it out, hand-sew some felt features on, then sew it together and stuff. The are super cute, and a tad ugly at the same time. Not perfect, but my kids adore them!
So I thought I would take that same idea, and create a monster type bunny wrap for colored Easter eggs. My daughter dyed the eggs, and the wraps I created with some extra felt, embroidery thread and about 30 minutes!I tried different stitches as I went, and just had fun with it.
Try to create some this weekend for your little eggs, what a fun way to dress up your morning hard boiled egg! What other animals can you make?

Ask your questions and come get inspired. The best part? It also is a no-cost event! Can’t wait to see you there! Don’t forget to RSVP to rsvp@veiltv.com and let them know that Tammy sent you!

Get it while it’s hot!

Our goal here is to provide everyone with stylish templates to use to create their own event stationery. But from time to time I also enjoy creating fun DIY projects for holidays and other events. I definitely plan to create more of these this year, and to start off the year right, here is a fun printable DIY Valentines Day card!

I love designing paper items that are a bit interactive and I think this certainly fits the bill!
You simply download the free template, print out the pages of your choice, (there are five sheets of different phrases and symbols in four color sets) and cut out the words you want to use! Paste them accordingly onto a 4×6 flat or folded card and send! A playful and interactive way to send a cute v-day greeting to anyone. There are tons of combination of words and colors so they can be used for kids, co-workers, teachers, friends, and especially your significant other! We also thought it would be cute to send a bunch loose in a pocket envelope and have the recipient play around and find the message!

There are thousands of ways to customize our templates. You can simply request a color change on our end. (and pick any colors you wish!) Or you can play around with the font and color of the text on your end. You can print out the invitation, trim and double mount it on a contrasting card stock. While your at it… play around with a few colors. It is incredible the different ways one template style can look with a few small adjustments. Check out some examples below!

They empower you to inspire yourself.. by playing! I love the word ‘inspire‘…
I love it so much I actually set it in beautiful type and got it cut from vinyl.. the letters live over the doorway to my office. It isn’t there to coerce me into creativity.. it doesn’t shout at me to work hard and be creative and inspired right now and this very moment. It softly tells me to look around my world, and within myself.. to be open, to be patient. To do something different, to think in a different way.. and to consider something else.
Many talk of inspiration. They say other peoples’ work inspires them, or nature. Maybe that fantastic spread in a magazine or display in the shop window. I believe inspiration comes from within. Its the excitement that you tried something and it worked.. or didn’t but you figured out a better way.
I want this blog to get you inspired… by showing you how to create stationary for any event. Stationary is a great starting point for party inspiration. It can shape your whole event.
Join me in this journey.. and in coming weeks and months I will show you techniques and ideas that will help with your journey of inspiration for your upcoming wedding or party.
December 1st 2010 was the night of the first annual BC Wedding Awards! I took the plunge, and decided to submit a unique custom invitation set I created for a couple sent to me by DreamGroup Productions. They were a fun couple whose wedding was inspired by the theater… A playbill invitation only seemed fitting!
No one was told who the nominees where or who won until that night. I couldn’t believe it when Uniquity Invitations was called for Best Stationary! I am so very honored and excited to be selected! Congratulations to all who won that night and the runners up! We have such an amazing pool of great talent in our province… It was wonderful to see so many vendors from across the province out and in support of the wedding industry locally. The night was so well organized, inclusive and professional. Very proud to be apart of such a diverse industry. Can’t wait until next year!
